Delhi News – In a devastating incident on Sunday, Navjot Singh, a Deputy Secretary in the Department of Economic Affairs under the Ministry of Finance, lost his life after a BMW collided with his motorcycle near the Bangla Sahib Gurudwara in Delhi. The accident occurred around 1:00 PM when Singh and his wife, Sandeep Kaur, were returning home from a visit to the Gurudwara and Karnataka Bhawan. Singh, aged 52, succumbed to his injuries, while his wife sustained serious injuries and is currently undergoing treatment.

According to Delhi Police, the accident took place on Ring Road near the Delhi Cantt metro station. The BMW, driven by Gaganpreet Kaur, collided with the motorcycle from behind. The impact caused the BMW to overturn and crash into a bus. Eyewitnesses reported that the BMW was moving at high speed when it hit the motorcycle.

Emergency services arrived promptly, and the victims were rushed to Nulife Hospital in GTB Nagar, approximately 19 kilometers from the accident site. Singh was declared dead upon arrival, while his wife is in critical condition.

The hospital where the victims were admitted, Nulife Hospital, is reportedly co-owned by Gaganpreet Kaur’s family. Singh’s son alleged that the hospital was evasive about the whereabouts of the driver and was preparing a fake medico-legal certificate for her.
